Océ Future Office Vision - Student Design Competition
The deadline for submissions is closed. By this date the following items must have been sent out to the Competition Committee:
  1. An abstract of 2-4 pages, formatted according to the ACM SIGCHI publications format should be sent electronically to competition@oce.com (download the ACM SIGCHI format here: http://www.acm.org/sigs/sigchi/chipubform/) The text should document the main concept of the video and technological developments required for attaining the vision presented. Finally, the text should describe the scenario of the video (in text or storyboard form).
  2. A submissions package should be sent by post to:

    This package should include:
    • 3 copies of a DVD or CD with the video, in DivX 4 or 5 or VCD format
    • A proof of student status for all students of the team (the student status should be valid at least until December 2004)
    • A cover letter including: names and affiliations of all students and consulting or advisory faculty

Note: by entering the competition all rights are transferred to Océ Technologies B.V.

Students wishing to get feedback during the preparation of their videos are welcome to send a short (1 page) scenario describing their concept to competition@oce.com by September 10, 2004.
 
Full papers and Short Papers Camera Ready
Instructions for authors for inclusion in the programme and the proceedings:
  1. Please revise the paper according to reviewer instructions. Format the paper following the Authors instructions accessible at the Authors' Instructions subpage (http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html). Remember not to exceed the page limit, for the category you submitted to (12 pages max. for long papers and 4 pages max. for short papers).
  2. Please print out the camera-ready paper in its final form.
  3. All co-authors should complete and sign the following copyright form [pdf].
    Note: Volume editors should be "Markopoulos et al."
  4. Send the camera-ready paper printout and the signed copyright form(s) by post to:

  5. Please use the submission interface to upload a .zip file containing all of the following files:
    • The source file for the article including all non-standard macros (.tex for latex users, .doc for Word users and .rtf for users of other document processors).
    • The dvi files for latex users and an .rtf file for Word users.
    • A pdf file (in all cases).

  6. Make sure that at least one author of the paper has registered before the author registration deadline (September 1, 2004).
 
Posters, Demonstrations , Tutorials and Workshops
Instructions for authors of posters, demonstrations, tutorials and workshops for inclusion in the Adjunct Proceedings which will be published in the ACM Digital Library.
  1. Please revise the paper according to the reviewer instructions.
  2. Format the paper following the ACM SIGCHI format.
  3. Insert on the front page (bottom of left column) the ACM copyright notice attached (you can copy and paste the relevant text frame if you are a Word user).
  4. One author should complete and sign the ACM copyright form on behalf of all co-authors.  (Note: Use as a publication name the following "EUSAI 2004 Adjunct Proceedings").
  5. Send a print out of the camera-ready paper and the copyright form to:
